This page explains which cookies Ebservant uses and how you can control them.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website or service saves in your browser. They can remember things about your visit, such as which pages you viewed.

Cookies on Ebservant

  • Google Analytics. We use it to measure visits in aggregate. It sets analytics cookies.

Google Search Console helps us see how the site appears in Google Search. It does not place cookies on your browser. The site has no user accounts, so there are no login cookies. We don’t show display ads at the moment, so there are no ad cookies.

Why we use analytics cookies

Analytics tell us which pages readers visit and how often. We use that to see which guides are useful and which need work. The data is aggregate. We don’t use it to identify you, and we don’t use it for advertising.

Affiliate network cookies

Ebservant uses affiliate links, currently through Amazon. When you click one, the store or network may set its own cookie so the purchase can be credited to the referral. Those cookies are controlled by the store under its own policies. See our Affiliate Disclosure for how the links work.

How to block or delete cookies

Most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies in their settings. Look for a privacy or site data section. You can usually clear all cookies, block them for specific sites or block third-party cookies only. The steps differ by browser, so check your browser’s help pages.

Blocking cookies does not stop you from reading Ebservant. Every page works the same way without them.
